The Alzheimer’s Society
Art-Rooms, the Alzheimer’s Society and art lovers
Art-Rooms plays an important role in supporting the Alzheimer’s Society through fine art exhibitions and providing greatly needed funds for care and treatment of people living with Alzheimer's and related diseases.
While the Society works hard to meet the needs of everyone touched by this devastating illness, every person who makes a donation via our website or buys a work of art at our exhibitions is helping the Society to continue it's good work; Art-Rooms will donate a percentage of the sale price to the charity. It is essential that we give all the support we can.
We know that by all pulling together, people living with dementia and their families will receive the very best care today and the very best hope for tomorrow.

The Alzheimer’s Society: why we are here
The Alzheimer’s Society has a vision of a better, fairer world for people with dementia. We believe that people with dementia and the people who care for them have the right to high quality services and support, and we work to achieve this through a combination of campaigning, research, awareness raising, training, information provision and the delivery of our own services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
About dementia
There are currently 750,000 people living with some form of dementia in the UK. This figure will rise to over one million by 2025.
Dementia can happen to anyone. It is not a natural part of ageing, it is caused by diseases of the brain that rob people of their lives. Symptoms include loss of memory, mood changes, confusion and problems with speech and understanding.
Dementia is progressive, which means the symptoms will gradually get worse. In the later stages of dementia, the person affected will have problems carrying out everyday tasks and will become increasingly dependent on other people.
There is currently no cure for dementia, but, with the right support, people can live well with dementia.
